Adrian Dominican Sisters in all levels of the Dominican Life Center are encouraged to live fully and participate in the life and mission of the Congregation. Services available in all levels of care include: activities and transportation; pastoral care; mental health; rehabilitation; companion services; and 24-hour emergency response. Regina Residence

Independent Community
For sisters who are able to:
function independently;
be self-supporting in terms of personal needs, including bathing and grooming, laundry and housekeeping, and care of personal affairs;
get to meals/activities without assistance;
follow physician directions regarding medication and treatment.

Characterized by the sharing of common spaces, including kitchen and living room; bathroom and laundry; meals in main dining room or local community.

Maria Residence

Supported Communities
For sisters who are:
physically limited in ability to care for their
living spaces, clothing, meal preparation;
able to routinely meet personal care needs;
able to follow physician directions regarding medication/treatment.

Provisions in this non-nursing community include basic housekeeping and appropriate adaptive devices in rooms.

Assisted Living Community
For sisters who require:
nursing care;
assistance with clothing/living space.

Provisions in this community include nursing monitoring on a 24-hour basis;
support in the maintenance of activities of daily living according to individual need; and administration of medications.

Intermediate/Skilled Care Communities
For sisters who require 24-hour nursing staff to monitor and evaluate needs. Care is based upon the sister's condition as well as the complexity of medical services required on a daily basis.

Garden Community
An environment that supports changes in memory by offering structured programs that support social, spiritual, and physical and mental health needs of the sister.
