Sister Mary Jean Dorcy, OP
Weber Shop features cards and prints by world-renowned artist and author Mary Jean Dorcy, OP. Sister Mary Jean was born in 1914 in Anacortes, Washington, the youngest of nine children. After finishing high school, she enrolled in the University of Washington. At the end of her freshman year, she became a member of the Dominican Sisters of Edmonds.
From a single sheet of paper, Sister Mary Jean started cutting continuous flowing silhouettes. By the 1940s, she was recognized as one of the leading American paper cutters.
